COLLEGE PROJECT / LAYOUT DESIGN / TRAIN TICKET

Students were assigned to create a train ticket for transport from a selection of movies given. I chose to design tickets for the series "Snowpiercer".

I also created additional designs for room passes.

For the design of this project, I wanted to capture the futuristic theme present in this series. I did this through having my designs be very structures in terms of the layout. To capture wealthy individuals trying to live a normal live, I have included monochrome images of the earth before it became frozen.

I experimented with the theme of being futuristic and used an acidic green to portray the toxicity of the future as well as symbolise the green that used to be visible before the earth was covered in snow. The green is also the only bright colour used and is combined with a monochrome palette to achieve the feeling of modernity.

I wanted the collection to have a strong geography feeling, since the series is about individuals circling the globe. Therefore I created elements like contour lines and arrows. 

I also redesigned the Wilford logo to have a stronger modern appearance. 

Overall, there is a balance between the 2D and 3D features.
